design of industrial equipment

    industrial
  • suitable to stand up to hard wear; "industrial carpeting"

  • Having highly developed industries

  • Of, relating to, or characterized by industry

  • having highly developed industries; "the industrial revolution"; "an industrial nation"

  • of or relating to or resulting from industry; "industrial output"

  • Designed or suitable for use in industry

    equipment
  • The process of supplying someone or something with such necessary items

  • an instrumentality needed for an undertaking or to perform a service

  • The act of equipping, or the state of being equipped, as for a voyage or expedition; Whatever is used in equipping; necessaries for an expedition or voyage; the collective designation for the articles comprising an outfit; equipage; as, a railroad equipment (locomotives, cars, etc.

  • A tool is a device that can be used to produce or achieve something, but that is not consumed in the process. Colloquially a tool can also be a procedure or process used for a specific purpose.

  • The necessary items for a particular purpose

  • Mental resources

    design
  • Decide upon the look and functioning of (a building, garment, or other object), typically by making a detailed drawing of it

  • an arrangement scheme; "the awkward design of the keyboard made operation difficult"; "it was an excellent design for living"; "a plan for seating guests"

  • Do or plan (something) with a specific purpose or intention in mind

  • plan: make or work out a plan for; devise; "They contrived to murder their boss"; "design a new sales strategy"; "plan an attack"

  • the act of working out the form of something (as by making a sketch or outline or plan); "he contributed to the design of a new instrument"

Acoustic Cavitation Theory and Equipment Design Principles for Industrial Applications of High-Intensity Ultrasound (Physics Research and Technology)

Acoustic Cavitation Theory and Equipment Design Principles for Industrial Applications of High-Intensity Ultrasound (Physics Research and Technology)

A multitude of useful physical and chemical processes promoted by ultrasonic cavitation have been described in laboratory studies. Industrial-scale implementation of the high-intensity ultrasound has, however, been hindered by several technological limitations, making it difficult to directly scale up the ultrasonic systems in order to transfer the results of the laboratory studies to the plant floor. High-capacity flow-through ultrasonic reactor systems required for commercial-scale processing of liquids can only be properly designed if the energy parameters of the cavitation region are correctly evaluated. Conditions which must be fulfilled to ensure an effective and continuous operation of an ultrasonic reactor system are provided in this book.

Fermentation and Biochemical Engineering Handbook, 2nd Ed., Second Edition: Principles, Process Design and Equipment

This is a well-rounded handbook of fermentation and biochemical engineering presenting techniques for the commercial production of chemicals and pharmaceuticals via fermentation. Emphasis is given to unit operations fermentation, separation, purification, and recovery. Principles, process design, and equipment are detailed. Environment aspects are covered.

The practical aspects of development, design, and operation are stressed. Theory is included to provide the necessary insight for a particular operation. Problems addressed are the collection of pilot data, choice of scale-up parameters, selection of the right piece of equipment, pinpointing of likely trouble spots, and methods of troubleshooting.

The text, written from a practical and operating viewpoint, will assist development, design, engineering and production personnel in the fermentation industry. Contributors were selected based on their industrial background and orientation. The book is illustrated with numerous figures, photographs and schematic diagrams.
